Roussillon, Ochre Quarries

The shades of ochre made Roussillon well-known since the late 19th century. Its yellow, pink and purple cliffs are made up of ochre, an iron-oxide mixed with clay, that is unique to the region. Colors range from bright yellow to deep red. The varied nuances of colors makes it a beautiful and unique place in the Provence.

Myanmar: Inle Lake Floating Gardens

The Inle Lake Floating Gardens are created by matting reeds and hyacinth weed into long buoyant rows. Mud from the lake’s floor is then piled on top and these gardens are anchored to the lake floor using long bamboo stakes. Houses are built on stilts that are driven into the lake bed.

Art Walk in Little Italy - San Diego

The 26th annual art festival in San Diego attracted about 120,000 visitors and three cyles, “Pacific End,” “Pacific Plunge” and “Skin of Trees” were on display in booth #542 at Date street. The paintings received very positive comments, most of them remarking that my art is very unique and different from works of other artists at the show. Thanks everybody for attending.
